I just feel like throwing my brain onto the computer right now, so here goes:
I am incapable of writing in silence, but music with lyrics distracts me too much. As a result, I spent years listening to movie scores at really low volume, but even that tended to be kinda jarring at times when I was really in the zone.
In a bid to correct this problem, I went on a journey down the YouTube rabbit hole, and discovered a channel called Cryo Chamber. It's a music label that caters exclusively to the Dark Ambient genre, and HOLY MOTHER OF WAFFLES, THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!!!
Anyway, if you, too, suffer from my plight, give 'em a try! A good place to start is their Lovecraft Collabs, based on Outer Gods/Great Old Ones from Lovecraft's mythos:

They also make great themed mixes.
(As for those who already know the genre, yes, I'm aware of the many other artists/labels/channels/etc that have the same genre, but I'm just really hyped that "Shub-Niggurath" is out and couldn't contain my glee. XD)

Umm...I got married. I'm still writing, scribbling, and drawing. Just not here much anymore except to lurk. @_@
Or occasionally post random art of which I'm especially proud (?).
So yes. That is all. Sometimes people vanish and I wonder what happened, so I figured I'd drop a line for those who still care.

Man, I forgot how horribly screwed up my original uploads of Avenari were. Just as a heads-up, I'll be updating pretty much the entire thing ASAP. Around chapter 30 the italics broke somehow, and since I've found an excellent .doc-HTML translator, the updates should be fairly quick. Oh, and I've been doing some editing, so there's that.

Sitting on the lawn, it's just before dawn--I listen to the screaming, another life is gone...
*laugh* Dude, I am so morbid.
Anyway, for anybody interested in writing a novel, I've discovered an AMAZING book called How NOT to Write a Novel. www.amazon.com/Write-Novel-The… It's pretty hilarious, and despite my initial terror, I feel like I'm not so hopeless anymore. Also, it's hilarious.
Did I mention that it's hilarious?
READ IT. Even if you don't write, it's still SO FUNNY.
That book is the reason for the massive update. At last, I've found to courage to go through with the surgery. She's still in the Operating Room, but her vitals are good. I'll let all three of my readers know when she's out and recovering. (Ian, you don't count...you're probably not even reading this--that's okay, though. I still love you.
)
Oh, and for all my traditional painting friends out there, have any of you ever used Golden Acrylics? I just went nuts buying pretty much all of their stuff, and HOLY MONKEY ON A STICK, that stuff is INSANE. The colors...THE COLORS! I'm painting again. It's friggin AWESOME. Check out their website and browse through some of the techniques if that's up your alley. They tell you how to do pretty much everything you could ever want to. www.goldenpaints.com/artist/ap…
Anyway, that's about it. I have editing to do.

*EDIT* Same day, 5:24AM: Okay, I've updated up to Chapter 5 of Avenari. I'm trimming the fat here, so if there are bits missing, that's because they were unnecessary. I'm aiming for filet mignon, not Billy the Beef Tallow Boy. *smirk* Okay, yeah, I've been holding onto that reference for YEARS.
*EDIT Jr.* 4/24/2013, 4:20AM: Everything up to Chapter 15 is now updated. My edits are currently up to chapter 23, so the updates will eventually stall once I catch up to that point. It'll get done, though. Surgery is going well.
*EDIT the 3rd* 4/25/2013, 3:45AM: As of right now, everything up to Chapter 20 is now updated. That's almost half the book...well, ~40% of the book. Anyway, it flows more smoothly now. Just gotta do some more edits.

I just started writing again. Like, last week.
I just finished chapter 15 of Ambri-Qis.
I just realized that I only ever posted up to chapter 6.
I AM SUCH A SPAZ!
I MUST POST MORE CHAPTERS! NOW!
